Just a quick note , had my annual service carried out at The Workshop in York , very professional service all with no affect on your BMW warranty would recommend them to all BMW owners up north , also the big issue !!!!! a hell of a lot cheaper than main dealers .

Hi Russell, do you know if Paul at The Workshop can log into the BMW Motorrad system to record what work he did on your bike.

I see that his hourly rate is plus VAT, this is one of the criteria for independents to uphold the T&C's of a BMW warranty.

I would guess not as I asked him earlier in the year whether he could perform the TFT software updates and the answer was "No".

Independents can register/create an account with BMW on their Aftersales Online System, https://aos.bmwgroup.com/web/oss/start
Once they have done that, they can login to record the work they have done on to the BMW system.

Not sure that this is the same as being able to download software updates.

What's the old saying?, "every days a school day"

I didn't know that so I guess you can ignore my earlier post :)

A VAT receipt will certainly be acceptable to BMW warranty.

Sometime ago, I did email Paul at The Workshop a link to the BMW AOS, just wondered if he had taken up he idea to enhance his business.
