Had a slightly wet but enjoyable Sunday. Had plenty of pig meat at breakfast, copious amounts of coffee, and a late lunch 😊

Then went home and carried on what's been rather a fishy week 😉

Completely new to this forum, a member recommended it to me. I’m from Ireland and bought a 2003 R1150RT in recent days. Just looking for all opinions positive abs negative on them. The one I have hasn’t been ridden in 18 months and the battery is totally flat. I did see/hear it when last on the road. Original battery was still in it. Damaged the fairing in the process. Doh!

I have had two R1100RTs in my time and in my opinion R1150RT is an improvement. Also aesthetically.

Don't know of the R1150 but R1100 was giving ABS faults whenever battery was bad or with low charge.

Is yours with singe or double plugs? The first one is in the middle of the valve cover/head and the other , if it exists, is under the head more or less vertically. I'm told that earlier single plug models tend to surge on the road but later double plug version cured this symptom.

Greased the drive splines and renewed the bevel drive oil. Tomorrow am removing the tyres to start removing the flacking lacquer. Thinking of spraying them in Graphite grey. May do the same to the shaft and bevel housings. no sue yet

It'll look like a 90th Anniversary model.

Sorry to bother but may I ask if there were any sign of internal corrosion etc.?

Bike in that clip seemed to have Wunderlich hand guards which were discussed in other topic. Although they are a bit pricey they might be the best way to go ie. big enough and should fit without problems.

That is a nice color combo. 8-)

Its a 2007 bike. No signs of corrosion on the spines.

IIRC, it was the last of the Camheads in 2013. I was tempted with one but having 2010 in Thunder Grey, didn't think there was sufficient of a colour change and a new model was due out in 2014.
