How to remove instrument cluster R1200RT/RT1250RT

Post by GvG »

Does somebody know how to remove an instrumentcluster of a R1200RT LC/R1250RT, can you just pull it towards you (and pops out the rubber grommets) without removing any bodywork, or do you have to remove a lot of bodywork?

I have recently had all the front bodywork off and there is 3 clips that hold the cluster in place

Unfortunately I can't confirm if you need all the body work off though!

I would remove the sat nav cowling and see if you can get to them from there

Thanks. Well, if I look at the Realoem picture, It looks like the instrument cluster is only popped into those 3 rubber grommets, but that's likely to easy ;) Probably some bodywork has to be removed.......

According to this you don't need to remove anything other than what I said above
