Hi Everyone
Just joined your forum after replacing my Triumph Trophy SE with a new 2022 BMW 1250 RT back in April. I have a little over 6700 miles on the RT now and I’m liking it. Looking forward to learning about my RT from you fellows in this forum. I also, have a Triumph Tiger 800 duel sport and have been riding for over 20 years.

Hi and welcome to our forum. The Triumph was never a big seller over here. Mainly from the price and the Mr. Magoo front looks From reports, it was top heavy compared to the RT.

Hi and welcome to the forum

I test rode the Trophy before settling for the RT

I found it was top end heavy and the ergonomics wasn't that great either! it was a stretch for some of the controls

Hello and welcome

I had a Sprint 1050GT prior to my R1200RT big difference between the Triumph and BMW now replace the 1200 with a new 1250 first time I have bought virtually the same bike twice in almost 50 years of riding.

Hi
Replies to your recent comments:
Yes, the Trophy is top heavy compared to the RT. I think the RT has the best overall balance of all the motorcycles I have ridden. As for wind protection, the Trophy has the best wind protection, but in the summer on hot days it is too good. As for the ride, the jury is still out, I put a lot of long days on the Trophy and was happy. Haven’t ridden the RT enough to say it is better than the Trophy, but it has a nice ride.
