The Southern Softies group meet ups

Post by Doctor T »

How about putting the Northern monkey group to shame.forum members from Sussex, Hampshire, and Surrey How about a regular meet-up around these areas? Would be great to put some faces to the names. Weather permitting. Anyone interested, please reply with your forum handle and where you are based.

Yes, I'd be keen on meeting up. We've had a few 'Southern Softies' meetings before.

I'm close to Gatwick.

Sounds like a plan, but I only like dry, sunny days!

For us softies can you list names and areas of bikers cafes you know around the south for the meet ups.
Here's mine
Loomies. Alton Hampshire.
Whiteways. Bury hill.
Ryka's. Boxhill Surrey.
Wessons cafe.Horam East Sussex
Custom cafe. Bexhill-on-Sea
Squirrel hill cafe.Newlands Corner Surrey
Billy's on the road. Billingshurst Sussex
foundrymotorcycle Cafe. Chichester Sussex. Living in the District i didn't know of this one.
Some may be too far for the Hampshire, Sussex guys

Station Cafe, Alton
Alresford Station (other end of Bluebell Line)
Departure Lounge Cafe, near Alton

and of course,

Bahnstormers (BMW Motorrad) Cafe in Lower Farringdon

Should be OK for any Hampshire riders!

I've heard of the Departure cafe as that's where the BMW club has meet-ups. The others are new to me. Been to Barnstormers but never saw a cafe. It was a ride pass though.

Wessons at Horam closed a while back.

Close to there is the Butchers Hook cafe. That's worth a visit.

So we have a good selection for the non freezing months.
Didn't know Wessons was closed. I thought Goodwood Aerodrome cafe was just for members.
