Pole of allowing other RT models to join our site

Post by Doctor T »

Hi, everyone. Stu and i have been talking about letting a wider group of RT models on to the site. This would be only for Boxer engined RT's.
The idea is to have subsections for 1100/1500 rt bikes.
The idea is to make the site a go-to place for all things RT. There is only one site that does this now but it's not in English. I have noticed this site has now allowed owners of any R models to join. This is not what we are thinking about. Our site would be strictly for RT boxers.
Please vote as we would like to know your feelings on the subject.

This forum "Board index" doesn't have subsections for 1200/1250 RT bikes.

Too many subsections may be off putting and difficult to navigate through.

It would be helpful if members identified the "Bike Model and Year" within their profile and added it to any model specific thread titles.

R models share similarities, when searching for info. on RT's, other model sites have proved to be useful. It could work both ways.

My intention is to keep the forum as clean as possible with a subsection for each model and within each subsection would be various forums relating to that model

The core forum will be as is and any other sections would be separate to the main forum

It's all about trying to create a whole wealth of knowledge in one place that's easily used

Would the various forums for each model within the model subsection be a repeat of each other.

That sounds like it could get messy but it's up to you, it's your forum.

Someone has disagreed but not said why.

The forum is already open to, 1200 Hexhead, 1200 Camhead, 1200 Wethead, 1250 Shifthead and 1250 TFT.

Would 80 and 100 RT's be included too.

We are only talking about 1100/1150 RT. Older models are now regarded as classic bikes and they have many forums for them already.
Question to all that have voted. Whatever way you have voted can you tell us why?.
However, if passed by members the subsections will not happen overnight.
