I voted yes, thinking it would make the forum all inclusive and possibly attract new members.

I vote yes for the same reasons as David. I can see the other side too, why some may want the forum to stay the same. Whichever way the vote goes it's the member's input that matters the most for the site.
What would you think of selling advertising space on the forum to pay for the upkeep of the site?. They may also help us with discounts from the advertiser. This is just a thought

If the forum running costs are in excess of £950 per year, then yes why not.

I didn't know the full details of the cost of running the site. That's between Stu and his bank account.

Not cheap for one person to pay it all.

When I meet up with Stu, I'm going to make a donation to the running costs.
These guys including yourself have already made a contribution, memberlist.php?mode=group&g=16

Keeping it to similar models prevents a free for all where you can't find anything, but allows some cross referencing or trading up to other similar models if they interest you - so all good

I'm a yes for the simple reason it's like two fleas talking about who owns the dog. Engine, Suspension & Bodywork details asides, broadly speaking we all ride the same thing and there is plenty of experiences & hard learnt lessons that are worth sharing regardless of the model.

The statistics show we have 4981 members. Taking into account that some have drifted away, i would have thought that more people would have voted.

I voted yes because I think some of the owners of the older models will have vast knowledge and spannering tips on keeping them alive and running well.
The GS 'is' the better bike :-)

Yes, they think they are, then one day they ride an RT and realise what mugs they've been.
