Hi everyone,
I have issue on my R1200RT 2009 Special vehicle, cant establich communication with diagnostics.
Electrician told me the problem is in ABS(gen 2). The engine does not want to communicate with the diagnostics, the entire installation has been tested and is fine.
Is it really a problem if the ABS unit does not work that it is not possible to establish communication with diagnostics?
Thank you.

Is the ABS unit causing a brake failure warning light to show on the dashboard.
What diagnostic equipment is being used to communicate with the bike.

Warning light yes.
I dont know in moment what diagnostic equipment was used.
Is it true that if the problem is in the ABS central unit (not the main central unit, but the abs module itself) then the connection with diagnostics cannot be established?

Re: R1200RT K26 Special - diagnostic and abs problem
My 2007 has a non working ABS system. I can still communicate with the diagnostics with a motoscan and GS-911. About a month ago i had a new fuel strip fitted at BMW. At the same time, i asked them to scan for any faults and the only problem was the ABS.
So to your question, the ABS doesn't stop connection to the diagnostics,
