Another UK Newbie

Post by Windy »

Hi all. I've jus joined as I bought a 1200rt last night. Should be picking it up late next week. It's a 2005 model with 40,000 miles on the clock. This is the first BMW I've owned. Over the years I've owned most of the other major brands and lots of varied styles of bikes.
I'll be using the bike for commuting to work and for trips out with my wife. I'm based in Oxford in the UK.
Really looking forward to picking up the bike asap! I'm sure I'll have a few questions when I do.

Welcome. I commuted back and forth to Oxford Uni to give lectures for 4 weeks. It lapped up the roads with enough power to put a mid sized sports bike to shame every now and then.
Trust me I am a retired Doctor and lecturer at Oxford University of Structural and Mechanical/Electrical engineering.
