hex can and Innovv V3 camera

Post by exportman »

Hi
Thought I would share how I have fixed my Hexcan and Innovv Camera on my new 1250

The hexcan is under the tail of the pillion seat. the supplied positive and negative are just about long enough to reach the battery terminal on the right hand side of the bike and used the redundant TPM connector under the rack and advised by innovv to connect to the canbus

The Innovv I had wired up before getting the hexcan so the switched supply for that taps into the rear aux socket again the main power is from the battery terminals on the right of the bike. The VR unit is between the tank and the rider seat secured with 3M dual lock tape

Front camera is secured on the right hand clear wind deflector ( UK so off side) using 2 x L pieces from the fittings kit to clamp to the plastic along with a DIY silicon stick in button cut in half just to add some stability and security

Rear camera again some dual lock and for extra safety zip ties under the rear of the rack.

The remote is on the right hand infill panel again with dual lock

finally the GPS sensor is on the tail just under the rack near the rear light

SO far the hexcan is powering an additional stop light and a tomtom satnav may add some additional spot lights but thats for another day maybe

Hi

No too bad all the cabling is secured behind the panelling nothing drilled all removable when (if) I change bike again.
I should add make sure if installing this way you leave enough give on the cables to lift the VR Unit clear of the seat bobbins so you can remove the Micro SD card.
Much neater installation than I did on my previous RT.

I also have mine under the headlamp using the go pro bracket. Not sure if that fits 21 on bikes though.
