New member from Sydney, Australia.  Retired from the workforce (engineering background), enjoy touring on 2012 R1200RT and tinkering in the garage rebuilding a 1988 R100RS.  Have seen most of Australian mainland on motorcycles in the last 40+ years, have owned about two dozen bikes, about a third of those being BMW (R100/7, R65, R100RTs, K100RTs, R1100RT and now the current two bikes).

Thanks for the compliments, it's amazing what modern cameras and software can achieve (plus a circular polarising filter on the lens to bring out the rich colours).  But I have to admit the Blue Mountains to the west of Sydney have tremendous scenery and colours to offer the amateur photographer.

Hi Baz,

I enjoy a bit of amateur photography, where modern digital cameras (I use a Canon 7D) and computer software (Photoshop Elements) certainly give top results.  Plus R1200RTs make great photographic models where, after initial purchase, work for free.  :D
