Re: The Northern Monkeys are back
Sorry guys, I've got myself all confused, my apologies.
Please can you confirm what you would prefer to do.
Option 1 - Meet at Thorp Arch for an 11:00 departure, riding together to the River Humber and possibly to the outskirts of York, split for home.
Option 2 - Make your own way to the River Humber for a lunchtime meet at 13:00, ride to the outskirts of York, split for home.
I'll go with the majority, my choice would be option 1, more riding together.

On reflection, I think I'll be doing the Thorp Arch to Barton on Humber then home. That's around 200 mile and at least 5 hours in the saddle. Plenty for me just now.

Re: The Northern Monkeys are back
I've spoken to Markus, my GS riding buddy, weather permitting, he'd by happy to do option 1 with me.

Re: The Northern Monkeys are back
Probably talking about 150 miles for me depending on the route I take
I'm fine with either option 1 or 2 to be honest

Re: The Northern Monkeys are back
Option 1 is looking the most popular. Tim's cafe at Thorp Arch was your suggestion.

This is a suggested route between Thorp Arch and River Humber.
65 miles in a riding time of ~2 hours with at P&T stop at McDonalds in Thorne which is halfway.

Re: The Northern Monkeys are back
Wife went for a walk around Barton Waterside country park today. The only parking allowed near the café building is for staff and disabled. The main car park is some 400 yds away on gravel/grass-so need a congregating area if two groups are meeting up?

Re: The Northern Monkeys are back
I would just dump my bike in here
Google maps
Its closed on a sunday
Although there is a disused bus stop just up the road too which I would be tempted to park in there
