Re: Basecamp Update
Minor update to BaseCamp, apparently to allow it to work with some newer devices, no change in functionality as there is no further development of BaseCamp
BaseCamp software version 4.7.5
as of March 27, 2023
Download (61.93 MB) here https://www8.garmin.com/support/downloa ... 5#Instruct
Notes:
System Requirements:
Windows 7 SP1 or later is required. Machines with earlier operating systems can use BaseCamp 4.2.5.
.NET framework 4.6 is required. A current version of .NET will be installed if needed.
1 GB of system memory is required, 2 GB of system memory is recommended when using BirdsEye Imagery or Garmin Custom Maps.
A video card that supports OpenGL version 1.3 or later is needed to enable the 3D view.
If you experience problems when interacting with the map views, please make sure that you have installed current video card drivers.

Re: Basecamp Update
Thank you for the feedback. It looks like I should just leave well alone and continue with version 4.7.3.

Re: Basecamp Update
I don't do PC technology and am too anxious about making changes, wouldn't want to risk losing 100's of BaseCamp routes.

Re: Basecamp Update
Just downloaded and installed it with no issues here!
You can back things up or export them to a safe place
Open basecamp select routes so its showing all routes
Click File and export
You can then keep them somewhere safe on a usb drive or something just in case anything ever did happen

Re: Basecamp Update
I've also had problems with the required .NET framework 4.6 when trying to install Garmin Express updates. MY PC man contacted Garmin on my behalf and if I remember correctly, I'd need a new version of Windows installing on my PC to resolve the issue.
I have to uninstall, then reinstall Garmin Express when updates are available.

Re: Basecamp Update
Click on the windows button (bottom left) then click on the settings button. click on "system" on the left and scroll down to "about". click on that for all your computer information
The GS 'is' the better bike :-)
