So on my 1250rt I can definitely notice a kick in power and sound when the shift cam operates, this is approximately at 3750rpm or so on acceleration, it’s becoming slightly annoying when I’m riding a bit more spirited without the wife on board.
Anyone else notice this especially the note of the engine on their 1250 ?.
1250 shift cam operating question ?.

Yes, there is a distinct change in the exhaust note. Mine also has a tappet sound from the left cylinder, it's booked in for a 12000 mile service next month.

You sure you haven’t stolen my bike ? . Even after the left side cam chain tensioner swap my left pot is still rattly when it’s hot, fine when cold.
The difference in sound is like from a normal “waaaaah to a “BlaaaaH !. Keep me informed on what your dealer says please

Yes mine does the same and the other one I test rode likewise. If you are changing from one cam profile to another surely the note of the exhaust must change as the gas flow is different?

Thanks for the reply’s, at least it’s not just mine!. I’ve seen reports in some reviews that you cannot tell when it happens and it’s seamless… obviously it’s not.
