Windscreen rocker switch

Post by Glenn »

Is there anywhere that sell replacement switch covers? The windscreen rocker switch cover disappeared this afternoon while I was out in Wales, it's somewhere between Devil's Bridge and Newtown.

The bike is a 2018 R1250RT, i think the switch gear is the same as the 2014 - 18 R1200RT

I'll call the dealer tomorrow, but does anyone know if the BMW warranty would cover the switch cover falling off?

Have you tried Motorworks or James Sherlocks? I know they do the complete handlebar units but may be able to source you just the rocker switch.

Good call, I have sent both an email, I'm loathed to spend up to £300 to replace a switch cover.

If I had a new bike the warranty would have covered the missing button, but the approved used bike warranty doesn't, I was quoted £404 for the switchgear plus labour.

You can check the Beemer Boneyard. It is in the states, but you never know. He sells a lot of used parts.

I've ordered a button from the only place I can find - Aliexpress, due the end of the month, it has the wrong logo, but I can live with that.

I've received the switch cap and fitted it OK, The cap I bought was for the R1200TR/GS ABS, does anyone know a source of R1250RT switch cap logo's?
