So, still no sign of these tools and no upcoming date, pretty annoying as 12k miles is approaching and I wanted to get everything done myself and reset the service light etc with the gs911, this way my home servicing will be all accurate for if I ever sell the bike on.

I wonder if it's a ploy to stop supplying to the public?

I’ve no idea, I know bmw no longer supply service manuals so could be. Surely they must have to supply new bmw dealers and cope for breakages of tools though,
If you or indeed anyone else spots the tools second hand anywhere I’d appreciate a shout!.

You can hire the tools via the BMW Club UK for a small charge and deposit but you have to be with them for a while.
Now and then i go to different countries Ebay site. I've found in the past that specialist tools from Germany and France are more available and cheaper.
Most agree to post to the UK after a couple of emails

I’ve been checking online every few days t see if anyone has the 1250 jigs and cam chain tensioner tool but no luck.
I’d be very happy to hire them but I can’t find anyone so far. It’s so frustrating 😔

I’ll give it until December then I’m cancelling my order for the tools and get a refund, I feel like I need to complain to bmw.

I suspect they are doing this so people take their bikes to the dealers!

Which I thought this was illegal now? I thought they had to supply all the relevant tools for traders to be able to service bikes independently

I would complain before cancelling as a complaint may get a set to you quicker :?

I’ve not had a great deal of time lately but I’m going to email bmw motorrad complaints department as to why they will not sell me the tools I need to service my RT out of warranty.

Also if anyone here knows where I can hire the cam alignment jigs and the cam chain tensioner tool for a 1250 motor please can you let me know. Thanks !.
