Hi all, I finally found a BMW R1200RT (2014 model) that met all my criteria (mileage, number of owners, price etc). I picked it up last week (needless to say it p*ssed down on me which is par for the course whenever I pick up a new bike). The bike rides like a new bike so I am very pleased with it.
I've owned a couple of BM's in my 40+ years of riding bikes. I had an R100RS in the early 90's and I bought a new R1100RS in the late 90's. Since then I've been through a number of bikes including Kawasaki, Triumph, Moto Guzzi and most recently a Harley Davidson Sport Glide. Finally decided it was time to go back to a full tourer as it meets my type of riding now.
Cheers
Pete
