SW update for GS/GSA/RTP on my '20 R1250RT
Re: SW update for GS/GSA/RTP on my '20 R1250RT
In light of the stop sale order that came out yesterday, I'm wondering if the software update described above actually had to do with emissions.

My mate's new r1250rs will not rev above 6000 rpm at a standstill but once in gear, he has the full rev range. My car at a standstill will not rev more than 3500 rpm. EU emission test on new vehicles is run between 3500/4000 revs.

Wait, so should I be sitting on my bike every time I start it? That seems kinda not right given that it's a dynamic ESA, which I assume the "dynamic" part means it would constantly change.Fourbears wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2023 9:20 pm UK current RTP do come with ESA. Found that out a couple of weeks back from a current police motorcyclist. They have to sit on the bike before turning it so the suspension can calibrate itself to their weight otherwise it defaults to a super lightweight rider!
