Hello all from Florida. I just traded my 2023 Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Explorer in on a 2023 R1250RT.
I just semi-retired after 8 years in Germany riding a R1200RS and a R1250RS. These bikes introduced me to the BMW experience
after many miles pre-Germany on a Triumph Sprint ST 955, which was preceded by a CBR1000F Supersport. I went with the
Triumph Tiger because of the "comfort" that so many ADV riders talked about, and the GT Explorer had a 7.9 gallon fuel tank.
I quickly tired of the tall Tiger and it just didn't fit me, plus I just never fell in love with it. So, after 6 months and 11,000 miles,
I swapped it for the R1250RT.
Night and day, smooth as butter. Like going from a Jeep Wrangler to a Cadillac SUV.
I look forward to swapping stories, ideas, tips, and ride reports. I am down in The Villages of Florida and maybe we'll connect on some touring.
