Hi there!
My name is Alex and I hail from Bucharest, Romania,
40 years old, been riding for 16 years now.
Some of my previous bike in chronological order:
Suzuki GSX 650 F K8
Suzuki GSX-R 750 K9
2012 BMW C650 GT
2011 Kymco Downtown 300i
2014 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic
2020 Kawasaki Versys 1000 SE+
2018 BMW K1600 GT
2022 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES DCT
2021 Yamaha XMAX 300 - currently owned
and now the latest one -> future 2024 R 1250 RT for which I already payed in advance and should arrive somewhere in March - April next year.
Hopefully I will keep this one for a longer period and not change once a year as I've done for the past 5 years.
Wanted a DCT Goldwing initially after the K1600 and Africa Twin with the DCT but Honda dealers around here are not really into negotiating - either you want to buy or bye bye, it's like they don't care, so it was an easy choice for me - go with BMW again since I enjoyed the Big K the most so far.
Why not a K still? Wanted new and the K is some 3 to 4k more expensive than the RT plus the BIg K has its quirks (like oil consumption and maintenance a bit more expensive due to the 6 cylinders).
Cheers

Welcome aboard! I see you have owned all sizes and kinds of bikes. I owned a 1800 Goldwing a couple bikes back and now have had my RT for two years. I have been happy with the RT and it is a lot like the Goldwing, bullet proof.
