Air filter 07RT

Post by Doctor T »

On most of my bikes, ive changed the stock air filter to a K&N type. Ive never noticed any performance increase but i know you can clean and reuse them.
On the RT i just fit a standard filter in her every year. With the amount of muck and leaves, i find stuck to it. I wonder if i buy a reusable type can i clean it as well as a brand new filter?
Ok, i can save money over the years with a cleanable one are they as good as some say? Whats your thoughts?

Hiflo for me, for around a tenner, I change the air filter every year or 6,000 miles. The BMW service interval of 12,000 miles IMO is too long. You could probably buy two Hiflo for the price of one BMW and have your bike breathing clean air for longer.

Agree David, the state of my filter is terrible every year. I too use the Hiflo filter.
