Denali Auxiliary Light Mounting Brackets

Post by EasyRider »

I'm looking at getting a pair of light brackets, the ones that are high up next to headlight.
Now i've been looking and can't see how they are fitted. I'm worried that the fairing panel need cutting.
Does anyone have these fitted and can post some photos please, or have PDF instructions.

I have them fitted on my 2019 1250RT and also had them on my 2014 RT. No cutting fairing needed, they just bolt on. I do believe 2021 on bikes need a little shaping under the fairing.

Exactly the same set up as Casbar on my '18 1250RT and whilst these are expensive for what essentially is a bit of bent metal, they look as OEM as you're going to get.

Drop me a PM with your email address and I'll send you a copy of the instructions as I can't figure out how to attach it here.

Big thanks to you both. Aset has now been orderd. :thumb:

Do you ride with the lights fitted to these brackets on all the time ?

Edit...
Just bought a wiring and relay kit for DRL. It dimms the spotlights by 50% when the headlight comes on, a bit like what the headlight halo's do.

Yes, but they are wired so that the Delani lights turn off when the indicators come on otherwise the indicator would be 'lost' in the multitude of lights.

Same for me, use them with a Denali Cansmart, so the one on the side of the indicator goes off when I indicate, I also have mine setup to strobe when I press the horn. I have them set for % daylight, %dipped and full for full beam

This is the wiring loom i have bought to connect to my top lights up by the headlight.
Its looks simple to fit, but just want to know where the blue wire goes to (ACC) ?
What accessory would you think it need connecting to if any.

If ACC is a switched live (which it looks like it is), then you could try the aux socket, although this is controlled via the Canbus. Or under the seat at the front is the main connection to the ignition, the orange/blue is a switched live, I use this for my Innov camera.

As i will be starting to fit all the parts i bought soon. I wanted to go though some things before i started.
One of them was to make sure i 100% knew where the Blue ACC wire went.
After reading threads on about 6 car forums, I can say that "Casbar" was right about the ACC wire.
It indeed goes to a "switched live".
Thanks Casbar :thumb:

I'm using 17amp 3.4mm cable from the battery to a fuse box and connecting everything at the fuse box so i only need 2 extra cable at the battery. Now i need to watch the amount of amps i draw from the fuse box.

Am i right that 4 x 40w LED lights draws 1.44amps, is that right ? .

Hi Casbar

In the photo i have added. Is the Switch live the wire that looks like its been tapped into before ?
The wires are going to fuses in the photo.

Ok. i have finished the wiring for the lights.
Is this right that the spot light flashes at the same time as the indicator when you turn the indicator on.
So when the indicator light flashes on the spot light is on. When the indicator flashes off the spot light is off.
I just thought it should be the other way around.
Indicator light on, spot light off.
Indicator light off, spot light on.
Or should the spotlight turn off on the side the indicator is being used.
Can someone one tell me which is right please.
