Has anyone else found the pins that hold the rear pegs seized inside the foot peg.
I had to remove both rear hangers, tape up the rubber part of the rest.
I then had to use heat and oil and a punch to free them and take them out.
I've never had this on any bike before, even my 25 year old Hayabusa.
My RT is just over 4 years old with less than 16k on it.
Also i think the BMW dealer lied about the recall work for the rear clips being done.

Hi
Yes on my 2016 The near side was OK but the offside had seize solid found out when I needed to take a pillion tool considerable effort to move it. The like you had to remove the hanger to get it free and working as it should. New Bike I make sure I move the pegs every time I clean it

Re: Rear Foot Rests
My RT is March 2023 and have recently received a Recall letter from BMW - Replacing Securing Clips for Footrests, due to corrosion. Will get mine done on its next service.
