Highway Pegs on Crash bars

Post by Mars Red Ken »

I'm looking to put crash bars/engine guards on my RT. I've found one piece bars that look to be extensive to put on, and I've found the left/right side bars that simply just attach to the bike.

My question would be for the left/right set. Will highway pegs fit on these very well? I ride my RT weeks at a time and would like to stretch the legs once in a while.

Thanks!

I got a pair off AliExpress a couple of years ago, and they have worked well. It took a little fiddling to get them adjusted right.
I couldn't find them tonight, but here is a similar pair on eBay.

I just finished putting some Farkles on my 23 R1250RT "night fighter" Among those were Crash bars (made by Baione) and ilium Highway pegs. While the pegs are expensive (took them off a previous 16 R1200RT) and I will someday put black ones on the black Crash bars. Until then, these will do just fine mulitple adjustment angles can be made. I think my mods turned out pretty good

A word of caution. My 2019 came with Wunderlich bars and plastic valve cover protection. This combination leaves little to no room for foot pegs to attach.

Hi,

I have the Wunderlich crash bars and the wunderlich highway pegs. Just mounted the pegs on the crashbars but they don't seem to stay in place and keep rotating if I place my feet on them.

Any ideas on what I should install between the pegs and the bars? Mayne some rubber material with 3M sticky tape or something?

How do you guys manage to keep the pegs stay "seated" in place?

Thanks

I just used Gorilla tape to pad the area out. Can't see it and works a treat
