Hex EzCan
Those of you with a Hex ExCan fitted to your bike.
What have you got connected to it.
But the bottom line, is it worth having ?

Re: Hex EzCan
Yeah, definitely worth it. I've got a pair of Denali D2 and DRL that melt the tarmac up front, a Sound Bomb if I need to make my presence heard and an extra brake light at the back to remind the dozy. The controller allows you to do 'things' with them other than just switch them on/off. It's pretty much plug & play, canbus friendly and the wiring & connectors are all good quality. Yes, they're not cheap but also yes, well worth having.

Re: Hex EzCan
It's definitely worth it, as mentioned it's just plug and play, you can program your options to do various things. I have a set of Denali D7 mounted under the mirrors and exchanged the OEM additional auxiliary lights for a set of D2's. I didn't go for a sound bomb as considered the twin horns loud enough but fitted an extra brake light. The last output I have used for my heated jacket etc, the advantage of this that you can program it to work with your heated grips but can individualise the temperatures for each stage.

Re: Hex EzCan
You need to be aware that you can vary the brightness and turn off your extra light via the Wonder Wheel and on some models also turn them off through pressing the indicator switch for too long and/or pressing it repeatedly. It's difficult to do accidentality but it can be done. If you think as I did the once, Ey Up, why aren't they on, have they broken, have think what you've been fiddling with first.

Re: Hex EzCan
The horn and bracket will be here today. Just had 2 emails from the couriers.
Horn is between 4.18pm & 5.18pm
Bracket is between 1pm & 3pm
So with any luck i can have my RT back together AGAIN tomorrow.
Because i'm now using the ezcan i've had to rewire my lights.
I am keeping my cameras how they are, as i like the 60 seconds delay when the bike is turned off.

Re: Hex EzCan
So my Ezcan is all fitted (thank FK). What a pain in the a$$ to do.
I spent yesterday indoors with the soldering iron making all the cables to length.
Even doing that did not make it any easier to fit, even with all the panels and headlight removed.
But its done now.
I wanted to set the top spotlights at 10% but they flickered at 10%, so are now set at 20%
I made one of my GSD's jump as she was laying behind the bike when i tested the horn.
I did not know she was there. sorry piper.
I had a bit of trouble refitting the pillion seat, as i have all the wiring for both the ezcan and my cameras there.
So thats another job done and out of the way.

I have reset how the light are to work.
The bottom set are on all the time @ 10%
The top set only come on when high beam is used or when the horn is pressed.

Re: Hex EzCan
quick question.
Those with a Denali horn fitted. How long can you keep the horn going before the fuse trips.
I have mine set at 20amps with top spot lights strobing, and if i keep it on it trips after 3 seconds.
Edit..
All sorted. Set the ezcan to 25amp for the horn. It now stays on longer without tripping.
The reason i set it to 20amps was because on Denali website it says it rated to 20amps.

Re: Hex EzCan
Another question,
Can 2 ezcan's be connected in parallel ?
Or would one need to be connected to the RDC and one to the DWA.
