Decided to squeeze in a ride before Spring Break holiday here in the US. First major trip on the new RT; what a mile muncher!
6 days on the bike touring West Texas and SE New Mexico. Trip summary: 1977 miles, 3 National Parks, McDonald Observatory, Sitting Bull Falls and CloudCroft at a chilly 44F. Highlights of the trip, mountain lion spotting (first I've seen in the wild) and TX Hwy 170 aka River Road. 170 is by far the most technical road in Texas I've ridden. Not quite up there with some of the famous roads in Colorado, Tennessee, etc. but tons of fun!
The route:
Pecos River High Bridge
Pecos River
Big Bend National Park
Santa Elena Canyon in Big Bend
McDonald Observatory - Mirror Telescope Dome
El Capitan - New Mexico, not to be confused with the famous peak in California
Sitting Bull Falls - not a lot of flow, but was a nice ride to visit the site.

Nice ride. You are near the Hill Country west of San Antonio. Have you tried the Three Twisted Sisters ride?
335, 336, and 337 with a lunch stop at the Bent Rim https://friocanyonmotorcyclestop.com/bent-rim-grill/
I have riden this a few times over a weekend trip with the boys. There are a couple of very twisty sections that are challenging but the rest is gorgeous.
The lead rider has a 1250RT and he flies along. I am looking forward to it next year on my 1250RT
