Re: Recall work
It's too far out the way to get to anywhere decent!
And I'm not getting the bus while I wait

Re: Recall work
Sadly, I have to retract my good words about Barrie Robson. I needed to take the weather protection and lower panels off last Friday and the securing bolts were all wrong for the relevant holes (incorrect lengths for the position). One on the offside down near the centre stand was so tight it rounded off and I had to cut away the plastic weather protection panel to get mole grips on it.
Today on a ride to the dales I noticed one of the engine/cylinder guard cover bolts was hanging out, totally loose.
All bolts would have been undone for the valve clearance check I took the bike in for originally.
Lesson learnt to always check after someone else has had their hands on her.

Re: Recall work
That’s abysmal!
After Bahnstormers completed the repair/replacement I noticed that the fasteners that they had removed all had orange marker dots on them, presumably to visually indicate to the mechanic that they had been correctly torqued before handing the bike back to the owner.
It’s certainly reassuring for if/when I need to have work done there in the future.
