OMG me to. I learnt to swim there back in 1976 on holiday. There use to be a sand bank that the tied would cut off.
I got stuck on there with my friend, and they taught me to swin to get me back to the main beach.

Just finished welding new tubes to the driveway gate. The bottom tube has been rusting away for the last couple of years. Had to buy a new grinder as the whole head unit that holds the disc decided to come unattached, ripped the screws out and flew across the garden at a rate of knots. I was left with just the body in my hand. Must have had it for over 30 years.

Took one of my Panthers out for a spin - the lanes around here are still too mucky for the R1250RT!

Looks like it will be "BMW" weather on Saturday!

Got out again today on the bikes. But it was quite windy.
By the time we got to Abber bus station the wife had had enough.
We had a quick coffee and took her bike home and she then went pillion.
The RT had no problem at all with the wind, and i felt totally safe.
We were out for just 4 hours and had a nice time on Artie.

Out and about in the Peak District, yesterday to be fair. Beautiful weather and scenery but the roads were challenging. Grit, pebbles and muck everywhere caused by run off from the fields after all the wet weather. Rear end went sideways at one point, probably about an inch but felt like a yard, bit of a bum squeak moment! One consolation (although the farmers won't agree), too wet for the cows to go out after milking so at least the bike doesn't come home covered in cow $h1te. That could change in the next day or two with the drier weather so if anyone is thinking of heading this way over the week end, you have the heads up.

Your area is a bit like mine. Sometimes there is so much tractor dirt on the road that you need a GS just to get out of our village.

Today i've started to try and sort out my Garage and storage area.
I am having to bin stuff that i have had for years, but have not used yet.
I have found so many Gen2 busa panels that i forgot i had. These will be sold now.
So at the moment the garden is a mess and the dogs keep getting in the way.
Bikes are under the carport at the side of our home as i dont want them damaged.
So i'm writing this just as i'm having a break for 10 mins.

Edit..

Thats enough, its now 11am and my knees are killing me.
So the rest of the day will be sitting on my ass resting.

The first time I grounded a bike it was fitted with TKC. Those tyres shouldn't as well as they do.

Finally got the RT out, on clean, dry roads. Just a nice bimble around the Oxfordshire countryside. Most of the villages are 20 mph limits now - it's getting like being in Wales, without the mountains!
