Body Weight, Belly Size

Post by EasyRider »

I am 6 foot tall and of slim build. In 2019 my weight went upto 217 pounds (15 1/2 stone).
I way unhappy about this as it was all around my belly which was 44 inches.
I worked hard for 4 months and lost 42 pounds (3 stone), and i felt better for it.
But over the last 2 1/2 years i have had some health problems and been put on new meds.
Sadly for me i put the weight back on around my belly, and i'm back upto 219 pounds.
Now over the last 5 month i have tried to cut down my intake, which i had trouble doing.
But this week it hit home when i saw my belly was at 46 inches. Not happy about that at all.
So this pass week i have been eating smaller size dinners and not snacking thoughout the day.
We now have no snacks in the home apart from my low-cal biscuits and apples that i have.
Wife has her own snacks that i dont like so no problem there.
So now its time to lose the hard fat first which is the fat around the organs.
This time my goal is to get my belly down to under 40 inches and not worry about body weight.
Last time 12 1/5 stone was not a good look on me, so wont be going that far.
This time im hoping to lose my belly weight over the next 8 to 10 weeks.
I will add my weight to the thread every Sunday as that is when i started.
I know from last time the first couple of weeks the weight lost is higher than normal.
My BMI is 29.4

Sunday 21st April 2024, i was 217.2 pounds with a 46 inch belly (not waist)

Next update 28th April......

Edit....
This time i will be keeping away from energy drinks and caffeine as they dont do you any good when dieting. I learnt that the hard way last time.

5’10” (old age shrinkage from 6’) and now 12st from 13.5st last year. 34” waist and BMI is 24.1

The highest weight I’ve been was 14.5st after the Miners Strike, as we were working weird shifts and ate whatever was put in front of us as you never knew if/when the next meal would appear… consequently on one particular day I had 4 fried breakfasts!

I've just been put on a diet by the Doc. After blood tests it shows I have diabetes. I've never been a big eater but since my injury and depression the Doc tells me that some off the meds make the body put fat on. I take 26 tables a day for different problems. At the moment I am 5'9'' with a weight of 17.3 stone.
Before I started taking the meds and I could walk more I was 12'5". and people still said I looked fat. That image may be because I have 3 vertebrae less in the back than normal people and I used to play Rugby slot at Uni which builds the neck muscles.
The way I look at it, if I fell off a boat I would have a better chance as I would float

Return to the Doc's today. I've lost a stone in 2 weeks. All done but cutting out the crap and Pepsi Max. Going to celebrate with a large Donna ;)

Howdy. I went over bars in October, and ended up with a metal plate in broken right arm and then later diagnosed broken left wrist that got cast for another 2 months.
That completely hampered my movement for couple of months, and the weight crept up. My riding shirt got too tight over the winter.

I'll be keeping you company in tracking my own weight. Focus on the positives, they are worth it!
I am here to learn.
