RT or not RT

Post by David. »

Yes, it's an RT Forum, therefore, all members will own one, however, you may have or had more than one bike.

I've also got a 1981 Yamaha XJ650.

What other bikes have you got or had?

Now down to just the RT. Did have a very nice 1978 R65. Sold it to a bloke who comuted through 2 winters on it. Criminal.

I have a 2008 Honda CBR1000RR (AKA Fireblade).  I still enjoy the CBR but I'm loving the RT's ability to cover long distances AND produce big smiles when the road turns twisty.

I've always had a soft spot for that bike. I liked the xj550 also. My last bike I owned was an '86 gsxr 1100. Loved that bike that I bought new. I stopped riding on the street and really got into mx for a long time. Now I'm back to street bikes.

Vespa 90 with no license and rode around Skye in the mid 70's; moved on to a legal licensed Yamaha 50; early eighties saw Yamaha XT 250, Yamaha US Custom 250, Triumph Bonneville 750; 90's moved on to a Ducati 916 and a Triumph 900 Speed Triple; early 2000's saw a Harley Davidson Deuce Custom. Last year saw a RnineT and last week I added my first R1200RT to the garage. Now just have the two BMW's, which I am enjoying very much :-) there may be a third BMW next year ;-)

I don't know about the other guys but I love this stuff! We should have a whole other thread on this topic, bikes previously owned, first bike, favorite bike, etc.

Royal Enfield 350 (crashed into a meat truck)
Ariel Hunter 350 (blew up)
Triumph Tiger 110. (just died)
Got married.
