Main Stand Refresh

Post by Sullivj »

The Powder Coater owes me a favour, and my main stand is looking a bit tatty after 12 years and 20,000 miles.

So today was the day to use up all my swear words for May (!), and remove the f*@€#ng thing!

Brute force and ignorance won when removing the springs, but I need something a bit more accurate when putting them back!

Some may mock, but the multiple washer method worked an absolute treat for me. Photo shows it just after I had removed it and prior to cleaning.

No blood was sacrificed during this process, which is a rarity…
Slow in, fast out.
