Dave Day 8th June 2024

Post by David. »

Is anyone taking part in all or some the ride from London (Ace Cafe) to Barrow-in- Furness (Rugby Club) to remember "Hairy Biker" Dave Myers.

I'm thinking of joining the chaos at the last stop before Barrow which will be at the Moto Services (northbound) on the M6 between J35 & J36.

The departure time is given as 3pm, I'd make sure I was there in good time by 2pm.

It was well worth the effort, four motorcycles and one pillion rode from Teesside to Burton-in-Kendal services on M6 (the last P&T stop) before Barrow-in- Furness.

The crowds of people lining the roads into Barrow and bridges over roads were awesome.

Everyone with me thoroughly enjoyed their day out.

Did anyone else attend the ride or spectate along the route.

I went from the Ace,met Si & Woody there, very nice chaps.Ride up was fantastic,I skipped the last meeting point and went straight to Barrow. I have to say,WELL DONE BARROW,the bridges as we rode from the ace got busier and busier untill we came of the M6 and the crowds lining the route where brilliant.I arrived at 5.30(left home 12 hrs earlier) had a few beers around town, had a ticket for the gig but never made it.Ended back at me hotel, bottle of wine n bed.
On me way home via Blackpool for a couple of nights then of the the Dordogne on Thursday :thumb:
