Apologies if I’ve asked this before but… does the clutch fluid on a 1250rt need to be changed as I don’t see it in the maintenance schedule ?.
Also has anyone changed the brake fluid and purged the abs pump with no issues using the GS911 ?.
Clutch and brake fluid change ?

Re: Clutch and brake fluid change ?
I thought they used mineral oil in the clutch like on the older versions? If so? That lasts the life of the bike. Does it not say on the reservoir lid?.
The GS 'is' the better bike :-)

Re: Clutch and brake fluid change ?
Looking over my service history. There is nothing regarding that BMW had changed the clutch fluid. If you wish to change it only use mineral oil. Any make will do

Re: Clutch and brake fluid change ?
It's just as easy to use the correct "mineral" oil which is Hyspin V10. The BMW Part Number being 21 52 2 455 540. I changed mine a couple of years ago and as SAKM says it can be a bit tricky and requires "back filling" from the Slave Cylinder using a suitable syringe and tubing. At the same time I changed the seals in the Master Cylinder.
