BMW Connected Ride Sat Nav

Post by Si W. »

Hi All,
I have just bought an 1200RT and the place I purchased it from recommended the latest BMW sat nav unit. Having now purchased the unit it does not fit! The plastic fascia surrounding the sat nav connector and holder has been designed for previous models of sat navs (VI think). Is there a way to mount the new sat nav on the 1200RT?
Many thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to the forum buddy, stick in a couple of pictures so we can see what you have and mean, I've got a newer RT with the TFT, but I've had several K1600s with both the nav V and VI which both fitted in the same space - I'm not 100% sure if they are the same fitting on the RT 1200 though?

The BMW connected Ride sat nav or the cradle does not fit the RT as you have found out

It is designed for the Nav6

I would be interested in trying to make one fit but I aren't buying one just for that! I'm sure that the mount could be spaced out to allow the unit to fit but I don't know how it would look and how you would then detach it from the mount too
