drivers seat

Post by maurice »

i have just bought a 1200rt (05 model) and find i need a lower seat. with the standard seat in its lowest position i can reach the floor but not with my feet flat and this could be a problem when riding in town traffic. Has anyone out there got any ideas or maybe has anyone got an extra low seat to sell?

First off, have you set the suspention to your weight.
The bike could be set up for someone who eat more pies.
The preload may be set to hard for your weight.

You could also get some of the foam removed from the sides of the seat.

I have a R1200RT low seat for sale. It’s a heated version and came from a 2009 bike. £200.

I have a 07 model. With a standard seat set to its lowest and am on tippy toes. Lucky mine came with a low seat. I have 30" inseam and I can flat floor it in the low position. So maybe you need to buy a low seat and sell your standard height one.
