Final Drive oil Q......
Hi all. I have a bottle of G1, 75w/85 final drive oil left over from a BMW 320D project. Can I use in my final drive on 2015 R1200RT ??

Re: Final Drive oil Q......
From RealOEM, the part # is 83222460128, Hypoid G3 oil 70w80.
"BMW now recommend this oil instead of a 75W90 GL5 synthetic oil for many models, however the use of a high quality fully synthetic 75W90 GL5 oil is a cost effective solution."
Motorworks list it and some alternatives, https://www.motorworks.co.uk/hypoid-g3- ... 128-1.html
Except on one occasion, (when unavailable), I've always used Castrol Transmax Axle Longlife, 75W90 synthetic.
"BMW recommends Castrol".
