Possible Servo Assist Failure

Post by mcb »

Hello all,

I have a 2006 with 120K on it and I suspect the ABS servo has just failed. I have the main red warning light with the quick flashing brake light and no rear brake servo boost. The front circuit works fine and the rear brake light works fine too. I checked all the wiring and sensors and all looks good. I bled the rear circuit too and there was air in the control circuit but not too much. The bleeding made no difference anyway. My battery voltage is great as I did my testing with a charger attached and the battery is almost new.

Is there anything else I can do or check before I condemn my servo unit ? And I see module masters doesn't service these anymore so is there anyone else that can fix these ? If not I will likely bypass the system but I do like the system when it works.

Thanks,
Mike

What did you end up doing? I had the same issue when someone tried to steal my bike but it was too rainy, column locked, and heavy under a tarp. Smarties dropped it. It cost a lot but insurance covered it. 2 year warranty-____-

Hi, I had a brake booster on my R1200RT and I installed the modern ABS, I drive and enjoy ABS.
