So it looks like i'm a happy man (for the moment).
As i said in another post somewhere on here that i wanted to fit my Gen2 Hayabusa akrapovic exhausts to my Gen1.
Now my Gen1 is a very early Hayabusa and on the downpipes the right side link pipe is connected to it.
I had a de-cat Gen2 downpipes which i thought will fit. So after taking the bike apart only to find they did not fit.
So i started looking for some later Gen1 downpipes which did not have the link pipes on.
I found a set and bought them. They came today and they are like new (16+ year old downpipes).
I just tried the akrapovic link pipes and they fit the new downpipes
So i know what im going to be doing the weekend
These akrapovics cost me a lot of money and i did not want to have to sell them for a big loss i would of had to take.
The first couple of photos are the new Gen1 headers, The last photo is my old Gen2 Busa with the akrapovics fitted.
Yipeeeee

Re: Yipeeeee
Thank you.
It's a very deep sound, not in your face like some aftermarket exhausts.
I did remove the baffles when they were fitted to my Gen2 as they were to quiet.
I'm just happy i got to use them. I only bought them new 2 years ago.
The little carbon fiber heel guards are £100 each.

Carbon soon adds up. I know the guy who owns CarbonFBR, did take long for it to go from side hustle to a full company and his sole income.
