Wiring a set of Aux lights from ebay

Post by fguzman0707 »

 Hello, I have a 2008 BMW R1200RTP and im trying to install a set of aux lights but I ran into a problem, the lights come with 3 wires , a positive a negative and a Accessory wire. Anyone know where I can hook that Acc wire to?...lights stay on all the time if I put that wire to the positive. Not sure where the acc wire is.

Did these lights come with a harness and a relay? If so, I would grab the repair plug that connects to the GPS power feed by the steering head, send the +12V from there through a switch to turn the lights on and off, then out of that switch to the ACC wire.

This will let you leave the lights turned on but they will power off automatically when the key is switched off.
