Engine guards

Post by Maxnam376 »

Hi guys, I'm looking for engine guards for my 2023 r1250rt. Seems it is different 2018 to 2022. Have factory fog lights. Any suggestions

Yes, T-Rex Racing. https://www.t-rex-racing.com/2014-2021- ... s/2239.htm

Look good, reasonably priced, replaceable pads, free shipping in US. There is a place to mount the factory aux. lights.

Hello Maxnam376. I have the new 24’ model and would like some engine bars as well. I noticed you received only one response from the board which isn’t very encouraging. Did you purchase any yet?

My recently purchased RT came equipped with Ilium Works engine and pannier guards. Judging from photos of T-Rex guards, I'd say that the Ilium units probably offer a sturdier mounting system but are priced at twice the cost of the T-Rex units. Also, you might want to consider adding pannier guards while you're at it. Ilium does offer a system to relocate the fog lights.

+1 for Wonderlich. They look great. Follow the contours of the bike nicely. I've also had a tip over and they did their job well. The scratch on the bar is barely noticable...you can only really see it if you get your head down close to it. Well made piece of kit.
