Re: What did you do today?
Went to Brighton burn up. Very low numbers probably due to weather forecast but just a few spits of rain. Lots of foreign riders though as it was the 30th anniversary.

Loving the colour of the HD! I'm green with envy.

Re: What did you do today?
Just finished 3 oil and filter changes for a few of my mates. Between 4 of us, am the only one with tools and knows how to change oil filters. I even had to adjust their chains as they usually leave that to the dealer to do. Makes you wonder. We've all been riding for 40 plus years.
Trust me I am a retired Doctor and lecturer at Oxford University of Structural and Mechanical/Electrical engineering.

Maybe it's because you keep doing it for them! They may now be thinking at this stage as to why to even start bothering to learnDoctor T wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 12:14 pm Just finished 3 oil and filter changes for a few of my mates. Re: What did you do today?
I actually took the time to look through my menu! 10 days and never bothered.
What did I learn? Heated stuff is way along the options.
I now have a digital speedo
I didn’t spot how to reset Trip 1 and Trip 2
The Wonder Wheel will take a little getting used to before it’s natural.
Seems to be the odd whiff of fuel, also noticed the two screws at the front/latch end of the keyless cap seem to allow a little movement, so hopefully that’s two and two together. If anyone knows where allen keys like to hide, please let me know!

Re: What did you do today?
Did 2 more oil and filter changes today. This time it was friends of friends. Have 3 more booked in tomorrow. Seems I've started a business without knowing . Luckily my son takes the old oil and dumps it in a tank at work. They have to bring their own oil or filters

Washed it for the first time. Do the little clear plastic bits over the mirrors pop off? There’s lots of awkward bits to get to it seems!
And the water in the mirror pods, and the water that runs out when you put it back on the side stand…. Definitely need a blower for it.
Oh, and just spotted my eBay 49l top box has the badge on the wonk! Still, as long as it doesn’t try to escape on the M61 on its maiden voyage, all will be ok.
Edit: I see vertical phone pictures don’t work well on the forum!

Re: What did you do today?
Went for on a rideout to the Cotswold Airport with the local IAM group.
Good spot for a visit but very busy. Nice cafe with reasonable food spoilt by the long queue to order.
