iPhone 16 Pro MAX in cubby?

Got any questions about the BMW's R1200RT/R1250RT's onboard audio, Bluetooth or the Electrical system?

iPhone 16 Pro MAX in cubby?

Post by Funktion29 »

it seems Apple made the iphone a tiny bit bigger again, but my US brain can't comprehend these MM differences. (are they so negligible that it won't matter?) 2.3 mm... :?:

currently have the 14 Pro Max and it its in the cubby, w/o case of course. (that goes in the left cubby lol)

its really only the height that would be an issue. Just not sure how to possibly test it w/o spending $1200 to get one, plus I'm just impatient, bc by the time they come out and get delivered so someone with an RT can test it, they'll be sold out lol.. (first world probs am I right). :blah: maybe I'll cut a piece of cardboard lol (the things we do to procrastinate at work).

I currently have the iPhone 14 pro max also, and as you know, it "just" fits in, it's only a couple of mm difference, but to my mind it would probably be too tight or mark your phone getting it in out - but you could always remove the small plastic bit for keeping it tight as yours would be tight even without it

I looked in the manual and it says:

The storage compartment is
suitable for smartphones up
to max. 162 mm x 78 mm
x 8.8 mm in size.

so it seems to be 1mm to long..

(obvs nobody at Apple rides an RT)

I'd say BMW guys are still sticking to a Nokia 3310.
