Hello from South Wales uk
Hello,
I have owned and ridden motorcycles since buying a CB250 Honda in 1972, followed by a Kawasaki Z250, a Kawasaki VN1500, Harley Electro glide,Harley Road King twice until finally arriving four years ago to the long wished for boxer propelled R1200RT Lc.
I have, along with my wife been a member/volunteer of a Forces Charity since 2011 having spent 6 years with A coy 3 Batt the Royal Regiment of Wales.
We travel to France/Belgium regularly to spend time following my family's connection with the Great War and the Monmouthshire Regiment.
I have requested membership of this forum to perhaps expand our options on touring and event attendance. Not forgetting the wealth of motorcycle knowledge that will hopefully enable me to keep my current m/c in safe rideable condition.

Both our areas have suffered greatly from the loss of the steel and coal jobs. Communities are gone and we are now experiencing the troubles brought on by lack of community cohesion.

I'll keep my eyes open when we pass through. Is your mate an Abertillery man born and bred or has he moved into the area?
