As i have said in another post i have an early start on Wednesday to take my bike over to North Oxford Motorrad.
Looking at the weather for next week, it looks like rain all day Wednesday.
Now I have one of the Wunderlich large touring screen that i've not used yet.
So what i would like to know, is how dry do these Wunderlich screens keep you.
Are they much better than the OEM screen for keeping the water off you.
Also what are they like for looking though when riding, or is that a bad idea to have it that high.

They are good at keeping you dry
As for looking through it! The shape of it makes things distorted and as such I never got on with it and replaced it with a power bronze screen

Re: Wunderlich Touring Screen
I've been riding with a Marathon screen almost since the first couple of week after I got my RT. The bike came with the smaller 'sports screen' which whilst fine for high summer, is a bit lacking otherwise. I've since done nearly 20,000 miles behind it including 3x SS1000 rides, and yes the protection is brilliant, in fact on hot days too good. For me I have a sweet spot I ride in, looking over the top of the screen, but with the vast majority or the wind & rain being blow over the top of me and my helmet. What that doesn't give you is the blast of air on your visor to blow away the rain droplets, but with the electric screen it's easy enough to drop it for a second or two. Overall I'm pretty happy with it, but I've never riden behind the standard OEM screen to compare it with.
One problem I do have is the extended 'winglets' a the bottom of the screen touching the small pespex fairing deflectors. I put a 1/8inch rubber washer between the mounting bracket and the screen and that pushed the screen a tad further forward and fixed that, however I've since read elsewhere that W'lch have admitted that some screens can come out of the mould with a excessive curve. If you've got one I believe they'll replace it, but as I'd had mine for over two years by that point and the rubber washers fixed the problem I didn't bother contacting them. Overall I pretty happy with mine, but if you lived somewhere hot I think they'd be too big.

I knew i had some little rubber foam pads in one of my draws in the workshop. 10 mins later problem sorted.
