Hi from Wiltshire

Post by stuyvpc »

Hi All,

Just picked up my 1 year old R1250RT LE this week. Due to the weather haven't had a lot of chance to do too many miles on it yet.

I traded in my 2019 Kawasaki Versys 1000 SE for this, I had found the Versys a bit top heavy as I get older and tried a mate of mines RT and really found it easy to ride and I can get both feet down. Plus good luggage capacity for me and the good lady. Prior to that I had an R1100S in 1999 which I traded for a new R1150GS Adventure in 2002 - a year before Charlie and Ewan got theirs.... The GSA lasted 17 years and 120k miles so hoping for great thing for the RT.

Just getting my head round the computer system and the radio is already driving me nuts but that could just be the poor signal where we are. Time will tell.

Cheers, Paul

Thanks exportman,

Yup, sticking with my TomTom - just got a RAM mount from Nippy Normans for the centre of the top yoke.

Probably won't use the radio, I prefer silence when I am riding but just like to know how it works!!

Cheers, Paul
