Wet Roads and Boots
One thing i found when i was riding in the rain the other day. When it came to stopping the weight of the bike felt like it had doubled. I felt like i had to work hard to keep it upright because i just could not get a great grip between my boots and the road. I was riding 2 up with full panniers. Anyone else had problems with getting a good grip from there boots when it was wet. My boots are RST Pathfinder and i do like them, but not in the wet now.

Re: Wet Roads and Boots
From Bennetts BikeSocial.
"The Pathfinders are designed to be a touring boot and so have a sole pattern more suited to everyday wear and maximum grip on the bike. In the dry, I find them to be stable and grippy on most surfaces. In the wet, I found that grip on the rubberised foot pegs to be slightly compromised.
The trade-off to decent grip is usually longevity of the sole pattern and I have found that after around 1500 miles of use, the pattern is slightly less pronounced than when new."
How many miles of use have the boots had.

Re: Wet Roads and Boots
I have BMW Pro Touring Boots, the grip on the soles isn't great and over the years and miles of use, have had new heavier duty/grip soles on.

This is the sole used by Altberg for their motorcycle boots, just look at the difference.

Re: Wet Roads and Boots
So this morning i have bought myself a pair of Daytona Roadstar Pro GTX boots.
I just hope they will fit as my normal boot size is 46 or 11 uk. But Daytona sizing chart has size 46 as a uk 11.5.

I’m a size 11 with the standard Roadstar 46, and they fit well.

Re: Wet Roads and Boots
I've found uk sizing to be a bit hit and miss. Sometimes I'm an 11 shoe size and other times need a 12. Euro sizing seems to be more accurate, never had a problem buying 46. Got bikes boots from Daytona and TCX in that size and both makes fit perfectly.

Re: Wet Roads and Boots
Sidi do these replacement non-slip soles, they look very much like the ones now fitted to my BMW boots.
