Decided to head out in the pissing rain unfortunately to Hawes!
Dried out by about 1 and was a very good days riding!
Bike looks like I have ridden through a field though

I’m allowed to drive / ride again from today but I still couldn’t head off in the rain , I just hate the thought of getting the RT filthy as it’s such a pig to clean !. If I had a garage I’d definitely have a 2nd bike maybe an enduro of some kind for all year round fun.

It's one of my rules to never set off in the rain unless absolutely necessary! Yesterday I broke that rulePanman40 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 4:50 am I’m allowed to drive / ride again from today but I still couldn’t head off in the rain , I just hate the thought of getting the RT filthy as it’s such a pig to clean !. Martin, regardless of what bike you get you’ll still not want to ride it in the rain, and you’ll still clean and polish it as you do your BM . How do I know this… ‘cos you’re as bad as me!Panman40 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 4:50 am I’m allowed to drive / ride again from today but I still couldn’t head off in the rain , I just hate the thought of getting the RT filthy as it’s such a pig to clean !. Re: What did you do today?
Today i sorted the bikes out in the garage.
Artie is now at the back under a kawasaki indoor cover, all clean and ready for spring.
I can still get to it to start it up, and also stick the battery on charge every so often.
With how the weather has been this year. I'm happy i got to use Artie to mid October anyway.
Only 5 and a half months till spring which will soon be here.

Loved my R45. Mine was black and fitted with R65 twin disc. Liked the way it would raise with each gear change. Felt faster than it was.

Re: What did you do today?
Took a ride to Box hill. 12c with grips and seat on I was toasty so had to turn them. They when straight on went the rain chucked it down, couldn't even see through the visor. The Angle GT never slipped a bit. The rain on the road has never bothered me and I found I was taking the corner quicker. When I got home I noticed they were nice and warm touch.

Re: What did you do today?
Yesterday, during the middle of the storm I was riding over the moors from Leyburn down to Skipton, that actually was quite fun, mostly had the road to myself. When I arrived in Skipton the sun came out and it was a lovely ride back home.

Re: What did you do today?
On my way back from Oxford I got pulled over. Thinking to myself, here we go points for speeding. I was doing between 75 to 80 mph. The female office came and spoke to me. First is how she loved the RT and her and her husband have one.( pointed her to this forum) Thinking OK where's this going. Not speeding, not insurance but No MOT. I totally forgot it. As I said before it's my wife's birthday 7/10. She was really nice and said to me if i can prove I have it booked in today for a test she will let me off.
While she stood next to me I called the garage in Chichester where I have the test done and luckily I got booked it for the last MOT of the day. The office spoke to the garage to confirm everything was set in place. I was on the A45 about 50 miles from home. She said they only like to see a local MOT center but my bike looked road worthy and the rest of my paperwork was up to date. So off she went in the plain clothed car with both officers waving at me as they left.
In all had a brilliant day plus my bike passed the test as usual.

Re: What did you do today?
Not really done anything recently except chores whist still recovering, I’m having a few ‘ moments’ here and there but after my checkups on Tuesday morning at cardiology they are saying I’m ok so as my wife is on a weeks holiday we booked 2 nights away at short notice, we are now in a B&B in Seaton Devon, 5 sets of stairs to the room but a nice sea view .
