Picked up my bike on Monday
What do I do to stop irritating people with my permanent smile?
Taking it easy with the freezing conditions, 64mpg!

Well done. You are obviously chuffed. Salt will soon vanish, I hope..

Steve I know what you mean and I don't think there is a cure. Coming up to 7K on mine and still have a stupid grin when riding. Enjoy your bike.
Steve is it a new one?

Sofnolime, did you get yours from Douglas Park or Edinburgh ?
I picked mine from Alan Dalziel at Glasgow great deal on my K1600be, just waiting for the salt to get washed away in the Borders.

I got mine from Douglas Park in September last year, Alan and the rest of the guys through there were really good. I got a good deal on the bike and the accessories I wanted with it. I would recommend them to anyone...
I have been getting out most weekends. Like most folks though, I can't wait until the weather cheers up and I can get some decent miles in again.

Congratulations and well done! I can empathise with the big grin syndrome - I picked up my new one last Friday and the grin seems to be permanently affixed to my face

Over a week now and not a day solidly out of freezing. Averaging 59mpg (uk) and managed 64 on one journey. Can't wait for better weather.

Is that ebony black Steve? Mines ebony- it looks stunning in the sunlight. It's good that we can all enthuse on this forum about our toys- the women in my office showed no interest at all when I bought mine, not even when I told them about the torque figures & the new wet clutch...

Yep ebony black, i've never cleaned a vehicle so much in such a short space of time but the colour is really nice when clean and the sun catches it. I find it funny when the lads at work enthuse about their fast cars... Fast?
