Hi from Universe of Motorcycling

8-) after many years riding motorcycles of diverse manufacturers and displacement, in 2014 I landed my adult-self in a R1150R/01. Loved the engine, hated the cumbersome windshield. Sold it and got R1150RT/02. Loved everything about it. Fell in love with the RT platform. I promised myself -and unfortunately someone overheard me saying so- that I would be an RT’r for life. Within a year I got another 1150RT/02. Then my life was a CHIP (that I retired just about two months ago with 118K miles) and a civilian version of it; same 2002 model that ended up in an auction to fund public radio with a tranny issue that was too much for me (short live, 57,000 mls). As I was saying I thought I would keep my promise and keep loyalty to RT. But opportunity called the door with a K1600GTL/12 that I could not let pass. So at the end of July this year (2024) I quietly took it and put about 5K mls on it. Lovely powerful massive motorcycle but; you know what? Not for me. So after some “infidelity” I asked for forgiveness and traded it back for a R1200RT/17 that is being prepared for sale and would take ownership of it by Tuesday next week. I cannot sleep with the excitement of getting back into the familia.
