Thats the issue! these are made and 99% of the time sold via the Chinese market and if they are in the UK they are the same as the link I posted but you pay for that privilege

I see the links above have expired, but any caveats about these nav prep mounted holders?

Re: BMW 1200rt phone mount
I have one and use it. Mine is with inductive charging.
Works well with Samsung S10e phone, however...
I have removed my phone from normal case and since using it in the linked cradle, my screen developed slowly creeping HW fault that I'll be trying to repair soon.
I am not blaming the phone holder, as correlation is not causation, but I am already stretching the springs in the phone mount and I'll be getting my phone back into a tougher case.
Apart from that, the induction charging fills the battery while goole maps are on, Bluetooth and GPS logger app is running
And so.etimes even music is playing.
I had no issues with weather, but I didn't ride through heav prolonged rain.

Re: BMW 1200rt phone mount
I recently traded up to a 2013 R1200RT which came with the Navigator V system. Despite several attempts and contacting Garmin I was unable to get the maps updated from 2012 version. I contacted BMW to seek a bracket / phone holder but nothing available. I finally removed the Navigator holder (secured the wiring behind dash) and installed the Quad Lock system with power via USB cable. I may opt for the wireless Quad Lock charging head and tap in to the Navigator switched hot if I do. For me, the Quad Lock works well with maps and music playing from my iPhone 12 paired to my Schuberth C5 helmet.

Which Quad Lock mount did you choose? I'm trying to decide which mount to go on my bike.

Re: BMW 1200rt phone mount
I bought the Motorcycle / Scooter Mirror mount bracket. It has various inserts to utilise to suit whichever diameter (within reason) the mirror / bar is you're trying to fit it to.
